Foreman - (Mauk, GA)
Award winning, high-end custom builder/general contractor is seeking skilled Construction Foremen candidates for an exciting multi-year project in Mauk, Georgia. The project is a 4500-acre private development that is being created into a world class destination golf and sportman’s club with the construction and renovation of multiple structures.
The Construction Foreman will provide planning and logistical support to the Assistant Superintendent, Superintendent and Director of Construction through the supervision of multiple construction crews in a safe and economical manner.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Supervise, coordinate, and schedule crew work daily, working with other team members as necessary.
Train employees on equipment and tools, if necessary.
Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers.
Organize and schedule the daily activities of all crew members, subcontractors, and equipment and utilize corrective action to keep the project on time and on budget.
Observe work for potential quality control issues and apply necessary corrections.
Identify and execute best practices concerning the safe and efficient use of construction materials and equipment.
Review all project activities, work equipment, and sites every day to make sure everything is performed to company standards as well as to the latest OSHA regulations and standards.
Read specifications, such as blueprints, to determine construction requirements or to plan procedures.
Locate, measure, and mark site locations or placement of structures or equipment, using measuring and marking equipment.
Record information such as personnel, production, or operational data on specified forms or reports.
Provide assistance to workers engaged in construction or extraction activities, using hand tools or other equipment.
Conduct safety meetings, training and file timely accident reports when necessary.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 2 years documented experience in a field supervisory role
Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs
Must be able to stoop, bend and stand for extended periods
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Computer literate
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
Ability to operate heavy equipment
Ability to comprehend schematic diagrams, blueprints, sketches, building plans and other specifications
Strong working knowledge and commitment to job site safety
OSHA 30 Certification a plus
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to/from job site
Proof of identity and employment authorization
