Construction Superintendent - (MAUK, GA)


Award winning, high-end custom builder/general contractor is seeking qualified Superintendents for a very exciting multi-year project in Mauk, Georgia. The project is a 4500-acre private development that is being created into a world class destination golf and sportman’s club with the construction and renovation of multiple structures. The Superintendent is essential to providing on-site supervision, quality control, administration and coordination of construction projects to meet the project specifications while maintaining the company’s high standards.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supervise, coordinate, direct, and monitor the work of all subcontractors to achieve completion of project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications.

  • Maintain a working set of the latest issued construction drawings and specifications.

  • Perform detailed reviews of construction drawings and notify the Director of Construction of any discrepancies in the plans.

  • Convey any plan modifications to subcontractors for execution in the field.

  • Ensure work quality meets or exceeds company standards and all applicable code and contract requirements.

  • Initiate, create, distribute, and track completion of punch lists for all phases of construction.

  • Supervise receiving, handling, storage, distribution, and documentation of all purchased materials.

  • Ensure adherence of safety regulations and standards, as well as company policies on the job site(s).

  • Liaison with inspectors, subcontractors and suppliers.

  • Assist the Director of Construction to maintain necessary paperwork from project startup through closeout.

  • Establish and maintain a positive working environment.

  • Assist in ensuring the job site is kept clean, safe, and secure at all times.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of related experience

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively with crew members, project management, subcontractors and vendors

  • Computer literate and ability to learn company-specific software

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities; experience managing crews and subcontractors

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints and other construction documents

  • Strong working knowledge and commitment to job site safety

  • Ability to multitask / good time management

  • Professional composure and demonstrated integrity

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to/from job site
