Construction Project Coordinator - (Atlanta, GA)
Award winning, high-end custom builder/general contractor is seeking Construction Project Coordinator candidates. The Construction Project Coordinator will work with the Project Manager, as well as a diverse team of construction professionals, to manage the development process of projects from permitting to completion. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent problem-solving and communications skills and a strong attention to detail..
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide administrative support to Project Manager and Senior management
Responsible for new account set-up of trades, vendors and subcontractors, as well as completion of credit applications
Assist in monitoring of project schedules
Request invoices from trades, vendors and subcontractors
Organize, attend and participate in project team meetings as appropriate; prepare necessary materials for meetings
Document and follow-up on important actions and decisions from meetings
Maintain and monitor project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets and expenditures
Solicit proposals from subcontractors, vendors and suppliers; follow-up as necessary
Order and track purchased materials, furniture, fixtures and equipment; ship returns when needed
Distribute subcontractor/vendor change orders and ensure documents are executed
Clarify the scope with clients, engineers, construction managers, and architects to produce an accurate list of project specifications, including manual labor needs and necessary materials
Order and replenish job site safety supplies
Assist in take-offs and compilation of trade estimates and pricing for the sales process
Coordinate warranty and small projects’ tasks directly with the warranty superintendent and clients
Provide basic office administrative support including, but not limited to, labor schedule coordination, ordering and replenishing office supplies and answering the company phone
Requirements:
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Project, Excel, BlueBeam)
Ability to learn company-specific software and applications
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to think creatively and solve complex problems
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills, written and verbal
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Ability to read & interpret architectural & site plans
Reliable transportation and ability to travel to projects in the Atlanta area (Office is located in Buckhead)
